TikTok supports the American Heart Association’s campaign for 2nd Annual LIVE Event
As the platform that empowers real-time engagement and global connection, we’re always looking for ways to bring meaningful content to our community through impactful philanthropy and unique programming. TikTok LIVE brings this vision to life by empowering creators and organizations to connect communities, champion causes, and make giving more accessible than ever.
As part of this commitment, we were proud to support Heartsaver Heroes, an exciting, interactive event hosted by the American Heart Association’s LIVE campaign, reaching millions of TikTok users.
On January 30, the American Heart Association hosted a trivia game show to raise awareness and funds for heart health. The event leveraged the power of 20 creators from across the country including @chris, @shawnjohnson, and @savagemomlife, engaging audiences in real time to drive meaningful impact – all livestreamed on @americanheartassociation and @tiktoklive_us.

Coming together for heart health
Two-time heart surgery survivor and AHA volunteer, @jt_laybourne, served as host, challenging participants and viewers alike with questions designed to raise awareness about heart health. The livestream helped audiences learn about prevention while encouraging donations to support the Association’s lifesaving mission.
“It’s incredible to see how digital platforms can transform the way we educate and inspire people. By combining entertainment with critical health information, we aim to reach people in new ways and help them make meaningful changes for themselves and their communities,” said Laybourne.
During the two-hour event, almost three million TikTok users tuned in to support. The funds raised during the event directly support the American Heart Association’s efforts to reduce deaths from cardiovascular disease and stroke, fund groundbreaking research, and bring resources to communities in need.
We’re thrilled to continue our support of the American Heart Association’s LIVE campaign, bringing educational content to life in an engaging and entertaining way to celebrate American Heart Month. Last year, the American Heart Association hosted a LIVE event where creators came together to learn hands-only CPR and go head-to-head in a fun, interactive CPR challenge.
